your impact: Sustaining the Violence Prevention Center

Funds raised will provide supportive services for survivors of domestic violence including: safe lodging, guidance through the legal system, emotional support, establishing long-term safety and independence, and driving public safety for the region.

Funds raised directly benefit the local and regional economy. Domestic Violence doesn't just hurt individuals - it's hurting our economy. Violence increases the cost of our healthcare, strains government and social service agencies, limits the future workforce, and raises our individual taxes. Each year there are nearly 500 hospital visits in Cook County due to domestic violence costing $1.2 million to our medical facilities alone. Your support builds a safer, stronger, and more financially secure community for all.

Funds Raised will ensure the work of the Violence Prevention Center continues. 40% of our annual budget comes from federal funding, which we anticipate losing by 2027 due to changes in current government priorities. Despite this threat, our goal is to proactively make up that loss from new sources. Your support will ensure the violence Prevention Center's work will continue uninterrupted moving forward.

Sponsor our work. make a difference.

Please join us in protecting survivors by making a gift today. Each year, nearly 500 people in Cook County seek hospital care for domestic violence, and with 40% of VPC’s funding expected to disappear by 2027, your sponsorship ensures every survivor continues to receive safe shelter, legal and emotional support, and a pathway to long-term safety and independence.
